I don't want every computer schmuck of questionable hat color getting in through these. What I am trying to accomplish here is being able to ssh to it from my desktop, if that means going to an app server first, then into putty, I'm okay with that. I need it to only accept connections from either named servers, or an ip range, or single IP (I'm not picky). I need it to not turn off the display (no screensaver, power mode, etc)ĥ. After 5 failed minutes of ping, I need it to rebootĤ. On boot, I need it to open the stats webpageģ.

I want it to do a few things, but I am not sure of how to accomplish it. I have this thing in front of me and loaded the Raspbian image from (the Jessie Lite version) I have it working at a very basic level, but as I am so novice with Linux, I need help taking this device to the next level. We had been using a myriad of lightweight PCs to run these things, but I recently had the idea to use the lightest of all devices, the Raspberry Pi.
On the manufacturing floor, we have televisions that are hooked up to a computer and display a webpage that tracks our statistics for the day.
